To make my homemade eggnog as easy as possible, you can make it in 3 simple steps. The full instructions are in the recipe card below and in the recipe video.

1: MIX: Place all the ingredients (apart from the alcohol) in a small saucepan on low medium heat and mixgentlywith a whisk whilst heating.

2: COOK: Heat for 3-5 minutes on a gentle low medium heat. Do not allow the eggnog to boil.The mixture will slowly thicken asthe eggs gently cook. Whisk constantly to avoid lumps.

3: GARNISH AND SERVE WARM: Remove your cooked eggnog from the heat, stir in the alcohol if required. Pour each serving into heatproof glasses or coffee mugs, garnish with whipped cream, and a sprinkle of grated nutmeg.
